At Seedling, we believe that your growth is personal. We designed this app to be Privacy First, meaning your habits, your logs, and your progress belong to you and stay on your device.
1. No Mandatory Data Collection
Seedling does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers to function.
- Local Storage: All your habit data, character progress, and journal entries are stored locally on your device using native storage.
- No Accounts: We do not require you to sign up or create an account to use the app.
- No Tracking: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics (like Google Analytics or Facebook) to monitor your behavior.
2. In-App Purchases & Premium
If you choose to purchase Seedling Pro (Premium), the transaction is processed by the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
- Payment Information: Financial details (credit card, billing address) are collected and processed by the respective app store. Seedling does not have access to or store your financial information.
- Store Data: We receive a unique purchase token to verify your subscription or lifetime purchase. This token does not contain your personal identity or email address.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions are managed by the App Store and automatically renew unless cancelled. Cancellation is handled natively by the App Store.
3. Email Collection & Feedback
We only collect your email address if you voluntarily provide it to us.
- Feedback: If you use the "Share Feedback" feature, you may optionally provide an email address so we can respond to you.
- Premium Support: We may offer you the option to provide an email to receive premium support or a newsletter. This is always optional and requires your explicit consent.
- No Selling: We never sell or share your email address with third parties.
4. Data Deletion
Since all your habit data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. For any data collected via feedback (email/messages), you can request deletion at any time.
- Local Data: Uninstalling Seedling or using the "Reset Garden" feature inside the app settings will permanently wipe all local habit data from your device.
- Feedback Data: If you have sent us feedback and wish for your email or message to be deleted from our records, simply contact us through our Support Page or via the in-app feedback form with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process and confirm your request within 7 business days.
5. Children’s Privacy
Seedling is designed to be a safe, quiet space for everyone. Since we do not collect personal information or track users, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if we add new features (like optional cloud sync). If we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
